For athletes wishing to commit to developing themselves as a Sprinter or Hurdler, we offer a limited number of squad memberships annually. We also offer memberships in our Development Squad for young athletes who wish to develop their speed for other sports, for example football or rugby. Our athlete pathway for sprints and hurdles is below, athletes in the Development Squad are able to join one session week for sprints and another session a week for hurdles.

Holly Mills - European Junior Championships
In July, Holly Mills contested her second ever Heptathlon at the European Junior Championships in Boras.
Over the 2 day competition, Holly set 2 new personal bests (100m hurdles 13.45s and HJ 1.78m), 2 heptathlon bests (Javelin and 200m) and finished with a PB score of 5802, placing her 4th.
Holly then qualified for the Long Jump Final where she jumped 6.50m to take home the Bronze medal. Long Jump Coach, Frank Attoh, was in Boras to share the celebrations.
James Weaver - European U23 Championships
James Weaver contested the 3rd International Championship final of his career in Gavle, Sweden.
James negotiated the rounds well to make the final of the 110m Hurdles, where he finished 7th.
This marks the end of a successful Junior career for James where he has finished 7th in the World Junior Championships in 2016 and 4th at the European Under 23 Championships in 2017.
James also finished 4th in the UK Championships held at the end of August.
